The following is a list of presentations that I've presented in the past and would love to share with others. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in me presenting any of these topics.
A Deep Dive into the Histogram
Have you ever wondered what information can be gleaned from the histogram on the back of your camera? Do you know when and why it’s important to look at the individual red, green and blue histograms? Do you give any thought to the histogram when you are post-processing your photos? In this talk, Jeanie will explain the insight that can be gleaned from the histogram and how you can use that information to make decisions about your camera settings in the field as well as help you make informed processing choices.
Appropriate for all levels of photography.
Understanding Human Perception: A Framework for Post-processing
Have you ever wondered what it means to “lead the eye through the frame”? Certainly paying attention to composition is a good start, but understanding what the human eye is either attracted to or distracted by can make or break a good composition. In this presentation, Jeanie will discuss a framework that will help you view your photos with a critical eye towards strengthening visual cues that help tell the viewer where you want them to look as well as identifying and minimizing distractions. You’ll come away with a cheat sheet that you can use both in the field and during post-processing to improve the visual impact of your images.
Appropriate for all levels of photography.

The Magic of Kaleidoscopes
Do you remember being mesmerized by kaleidoscopes as a child? Why are they so captivating to us even as adults? And how can we tap into that magic with our own digital imagery? In this presentation, Jeanie will draw on more than a decade of experience creating kaleidoscope designs from her photos to explore:
• How various angles of mirroring can be used to create kaleidoscopic designs
• Various post-processing techniques to create kaleidoscopes from your photos
• What types of photos create the most eye-catching kaleidoscopes

• What types of photos create the most eye-catching kaleidoscopes
Come prepared for a kaleidoscopic journey of possibilities and walk away with a new perspective on the photos in your own catalog.
Appropriate for all levels of photography.

Time Slice Photography
Time slice photography is a technique where multiple photographs of the same scene are taken over a period of time and combined into a single image to show the passage of time. More simply put, it’s a way of displaying a timelapse video in a single image. In this presentation, Jeanie will give a brief overview on how to capture a series of timelapse photos and then provide a plethora of different options to slice up those photos and combine them in a single image. She will finish off the talk with a live demo showing a number of creative "slicing" options.
Appropriate for intermediate to advanced photographers. This presentation assumes knowledge of layers, layer masks and clipping masks.
