Hi, I'm Jeanie and these are my Creative Explorations!

For me, the process of making a photo is often more fulfilling than the resulting image itself. I love trying new-to-me techniques for the sheer joy of learning new things. I love trying to figure out how to visually express my feelings about a place. And I love the creative process of combining things I already know with new ideas. My favorite questions are “How does that work?”, “Why?” and “Why not?” The following quote from Albert Einstein sums up my life philosophy nicely: “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when [s]he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.” Every so often, I take the time to write down what I’ve learned about my creative process or about myself and share those thoughts here. The images herein are not meant to be masterpieces, they are simply musings about my thought process as I follow my curiosity.
